AVF Marketing and ParentPay announce strategic partnership
14th October 2009
AVF Marketing and ParentPay are announcing a strategic partnership at a meeting in Solihull today. Their aim is to create a unique digital platform for school meal caterers to increase meal numbers by combining the award winning www.myschoollunch.co.uk website with ParentPay’s online payment platform www.parentpay.com.
The website will be targeted at parents so they can pay online and obtain information about Primary School meals. Parents can access a wide range of other information from how local authorities are promoting healthy eating to what is on the menu. There is also information for pupils and teachers, the pupil section has a funfair of educational games that can link to the National Curriculum and the lesson plans link the funfair of games to Key Stages 1 and 2 of the National Curriculum.
Parents will be directed to the relevant authority’s page at www.myschoollunch.co.uk and then access the ParentPay application. ParentPay is used by hundreds of thousands of parents every month to make payments to school. There will be a seamless user experience as far as all parents are concerned.
Arnold Fewell, Managing Director of AVF Marketing, said “I am very excited by this development as there are a wide range of new products that we will develop with ParentPay to help our clients increase Primary School meal numbers. Marketing via online media is the future and I know this link up will bring many other benefits to school caterers and headteachers, such as saving on administration time. The website is already a huge success and there will soon be over 30 local authority MySchoolLunch sites. www.myschoollunch.co.uk was recently voted website of the year by Caterersearch.com and we have received many compliments about its visual impact, content, innovation and interactivity. The links to ParentPay will only enhance its reputation and see more authorities come on board”.
Clint Wilson, CEO of ParentPay, said “ParentPay and AVF Marketing have a perfect synergy, both companies promoting the use of digital platforms helping schools and caterers with increasing parental engagement. Our client bases are complimentary and by working together we can provide even greater benefits to head teachers and their staff, parents, pupils and school caterers. Online solutions are the future and we already provide cashless payment and dinner money management applications to more than 1,500 schools across 140 local authorities. Following Croydon’s success with ParentPay and the prestigious e-Government National Award for its ground-breaking project to create cashless schools, the level of interest from authorities has increased significantly.”
Commenting on the future Clint continued “This is just the beginning and we will continue to develop new products and strategies that enhance school caterers’ businesses and help deliver real benefits to schools, parents and pupils. Two lead authorities will be test marketing new developments over the coming months with the first major new product launches planned for later in the academic year.”
